The book Fidel Castro and the Cuban Revolution is presented in Philippines
The cultural association and friendship with Cuba PHILCUBA, sponsored and presented in this capital the book entitled Fidel Castro and the Cuban Revolution.
The text gathers the reflections of Francisco Nemenzo, ex rector of the University of Philippines and President of PHILCUBA and Mamiel Lurinaria, member of that organization about the Cuban process and its meaning for the progress forces of the world.
While making the presentation, the lawyer Corazon Fabros said that to revolutionaries is vital to review over and over the fundamentals of the Cuban Revolution. She urged them, likewise to continue supporting the fight against the blockade to the only country in the world which has been persistent in the fight against imperialism. On the other hand, the Cuban ambassador in Philippines, Ibete Fernandez, thanked the initiative to honor with this book the thoughts of the commander in chief Fidel Castro. He has contributed with the emancipation of other countries which fight for social justice.
In the book was included the Manila declaration, approved last year by the delegates to the 7th meeting of solidarity with Cuba in Asia and which makes a call to the United States to lift the embargo and give back the territory illegally taken in Guantanamo.
In the evening, celebrated in the University of Philippines, attended students, professors and members of the associations of friendship with Cuba.
